This young buy has already caught lots of attention in the football world.
On June 14, Real Madrid has signed a new Japenese talent. The former Tokyo player has made the switch from J1 League to La Liga and is propped to be one of the best young players to watch this season.
He is only 18 and this is a huge move. This is a big deal for a player’s career, so he is very exciting to play with one of the best clubs in the World.
It’s not the first time he played for a Spanish club, because Kubo has already played in Spain. He played for the biggest rival of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona.
In 2011, Kubo played for Kawasaki Frontal and then he moved to La Masia on a free transfer. During his time in Barcelona he stunned everyone with his dribbling and finishing abilities. He was name as ‘Japanese Messi.’
In 2015 Barcelona broke the regulations of FIFA while signing player to their youth team. As a result, Kubo went back to Japan where he began a new start with the Tokyo Youth team. There he made 30 appearances and scores six goals and made four assists.
According to The Guardian, the attacking midfielder was being watched by Barcelona, PSG and Real madrid.
It was assumed that Kubo would join Barca. However Barcelona wouldn’t match Madrid’s 2 million euros offer with six year contract and he will earn 1 million euro per season.

“My teammates and the coaches are very pleasant and I’ve been able to adapt really well. I’ve got to make the most of this opportunity.”
In the next season, the world will know the name of Takefusa Kubo. He said that “he’s really proud to be at the best club in the world.”
